Coffee, Community, and the Image of God
The story behind Eikon Coffee and the people who built it.
Our Story
Eikon Coffee is the realization of a dream for Brent and Claire Reiter, high school sweethearts and parents to six children, including five daughters and a newborn son. Four of their daughters attend The Saint Constantine School.
For Brent, coffee has been a lifelong craft. His love for it began more than fifteen years ago and has shaped his pursuit of excellence ever since. Over the years he has developed a deep understanding of coffee sourcing, roasting, and preparation, working closely with exceptional coffees and participating in every stage of the journey from green coffee to the finished cup.
Brent and Claire have long shared the dream of opening a café where they could serve great coffee and create a welcoming place for their community. When The Saint Constantine School approached them, along with their business partner Kyle Maresh, about creating a coffee space on campus for faculty, students, and families, the opportunity felt providential.
The name Eikon comes from the Greek word for “image.” At Eikon Coffee, we believe every person is made in the image of God, from the farmers who cultivate coffee around the world to the customer standing at the register. As Saint Maria of Paris wrote, “Each person is the very icon of God in the world.”
This belief shapes how we approach our work and the atmosphere we hope to create at Eikon Café, one marked by peace, community, and moments of reflection on the things above.
Brent and Claire have always loved the idea of one day running their own cafe where they could share a good cup of coffee and excellent service with their community, so when The Saint Constantine School approached them and their business partner, Kyle Maresh, about creating a space on campus to serve the faculty, student body, and their families, the timing felt right!
Eikon’s vision is rooted in the fundamental truth that all people are made in the image of God, from the coffee farmers around the world, to the customer at the register. As Saint Maria of Paris says, “Each person is the very icon of God in the world.” This belief informs the way we do business and will inspire the atmosphere we hope to create for our customers at Eikon Cafe, one of peace, community, and reflection on the things above. We hope you’ll encounter more than just a good cup of coffee at Eikon Coffee!

Rooted in Community
Eikon's cafe was created as a gathering place for conversation, reflection, and community centered around good coffee.
The Ritual of Coffee
Coffee has long been more than a drink. It is a pause in the day, a moment of conversation, a quiet space between tasks.
At Eikon Coffee, we believe good coffee invites us to slow down. Whether it is the first cup of the morning, a conversation shared with a friend, or a quiet moment of reflection, coffee has a way of grounding us in the present.
Our hope is simple: that when you visit Eikon Coffee, you encounter more than just a good cup of coffee.
Coffee worth slowing down for.
